Uteuzi Jimbo is Swahili for "county select," and is a Regional Select program designed to highlight the different coffee-growing counties of Kenya in which Cafe Imports primarily works: Nyeri, Embu, Muranga, and Kirinyaga. These coffees are traceable down to the region and are created by blending lots from different factories in each area, basis the cup quality and profile.
Which grind should you choose?
Fine - Espresso machine, Moka Pot, Turkish Coffee
Medium - Standard Drip Machine, Aeropress
Coarse - French Press, Pour Over, Chemex, V60, Cold Brew
I love the flavour, but lacks the robust depth of a dark roast. Tasting notes are bang on with burnt sugar and strawberries. Definitely a medium roast drinkers coffee.
I keep this in heavy rotation. I use a coarse grind with my French press and love the results. I'm going to keep this on hand as long as I can 👍
